Our Story
Corcuera Padel Club is a premium padel apparel brand founded in Nottingham in 2025. We make clothing built for the court and the clubhouse — quiet luxury, rooted in the sport’s heritage, worn by players who take the game seriously.
Where the name comes from
Enrique Corcuera built the first padel court in the garden of his home in Acapulco, Mexico in 1969. That backyard game — social, architectural, distinctly Latin in character — became one of the world’s most-played sports. We named the brand after him because we believe padel is still most itself in that original spirit: four people, a shared court, a proper match, and somewhere good to go afterwards.
The brand isn’t sponsored by the Corcuera family. It’s a tribute. A way of honouring where the sport came from while building something designed for where it’s going.
Who we are
Corcuera was founded by James Grew in Nottingham. The premise was simple: padel had arrived in the UK and was growing fast, but the clothing available felt either too technical or too anonymous. There was no brand that matched how players actually experienced the sport — competitive enough to care, social enough to linger, style-conscious enough to wear the kit beyond the court.
We design clothing with that in mind. Relaxed silhouettes. Considered palettes. Club-inspired details — embroidered emblems, subtle typography, unisex cuts that move between a match and a meal without changing. Produced in small batches, built to last.
The design approach
On court
- Breathable, technical fabrics
- Unisex and relaxed fits
- Minimal branding — nothing that shouts
- Movement-ready construction
Off court
- Club-inspired typography and emblems
- Premium embroidery and print finishes
- Versatile colourways for everyday wear
- Designed to outlast trends
Responsible production
We produce in small batches with suppliers who meet responsible manufacturing standards. Limited runs mean less overstock and more intention in every piece. We’d rather make fewer things well than more things quickly. Slower, smaller, better.

Why Enrique Corcuera?
Enrique Corcuera built the world’s first padel court in his garden in Acapulco, Mexico in 1969. His wife Viviana wrote the first rules as a birthday gift. That origin — private, social, born from love of play — is the spirit the brand is named after. Read the full story here.
