About Corcuera Padel Club

Inspired by the Origins of Padel. Designed for Today's Player.

Corcuera Padel Club is a premium British padel lifestyle brand inspired by the origins of the sport in Acapulco, Mexico, where modern padel began in 1969.

We create timeless apparel designed to move effortlessly from the court to everyday life, combining heritage, craftsmanship and understated style.

Our Story

Corcuera Padel Club was founded to celebrate the heritage of padel while embracing where the sport is headed next. We're inspired by the culture that surrounds padel — the travel between clubs and cities, the architecture of the courts themselves, the craftsmanship behind well-made kit, and the community that builds up around every court, rather than simply producing sportswear with a logo stitched on.

That means our collections are designed to work as hard off the court as they do on it: pieces built for a match on Saturday morning and a coffee with friends straight after.

Corcuera Padel Club was founded in Nottingham, UK, in 2025 by James Grew, after noticing that padel had arrived in the UK and was growing fast, but the clothing available felt either too technical or too anonymous for how players actually experienced the sport.

Our Inspiration

Every Corcuera collection draws from a handful of consistent influences:

  • Acapulco — the birthplace of modern padel, and the reason the brand carries the Corcuera name
  • Mediterranean padel culture — the relaxed, social clubs of Spain and beyond
  • British design — understated tailoring and quality construction
  • Sporting clubs — the timeless uniforms of tennis, golf and rowing clubs
  • Resort lifestyle — easy, warm-weather dressing that still feels considered
  • Timeless fashion — pieces designed to outlast a single season's trends

Our Philosophy

Padel is social, inclusive, competitive and relaxed, often all in the same match. We believe clothing should reflect those same values: welcoming enough for a first-time player, capable enough for a serious competitor, and comfortable enough to wear long after the final point.

Why 1969?

1969 marks the origins of modern padel, first played in Acapulco, Mexico. Corcuera Padel Club takes its name in tribute to that history and is inspired by the origins of the sport — the brand is not officially endorsed by, or affiliated with, the Corcuera family.

Sustainability

We believe in creating fewer, better garments designed to last, rather than chasing fast fashion. Every piece is chosen and made with longevity in mind.
